TEXTILE NETWORK

The Textile Network helps companies that develop and purchase textiles – fabrics, knits and non-wovens – and process them into products in various sectors. The companies collaborate on the high-value reuse of textiles and transparency in the supply chain. This enables them to improve conditions for people and the environment. They can also learn more about each other’s activities, opening the way to faster innovation. MVO Nederland matches supply and demand. It also supports projects and processes with the ultimate aim of achieving the New Economy as fast as possible.

The companies in the Textile Network collaborate on innovations aimed at making circular textiles mainstream. These include collecting and recycling raw materials and fibres, developing new business models and (circular) product design. But fair prices and employment conditions are also an important objective of the network. The network has already developed Clothes the Circle, a circular production chain for textiles. One of the results of this active project was that Foreign Trade Minister Sigrid Kaag took part in a trade mission wearing a dress made entirely using circular methods.

WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN THE TEXTILE NETWORK?

As a member of this network we offer you a wealth of opportunities in the textile sector. Meet other companies – inside and outside the sector – at events, through your MVO Nederland Network Manager, our Futureproof.community or through other channels and collaborate on new innovations, projects and a sustainable sector. We will also include you in our lobbying activities in The Hague and Brussels by inviting you contribute views from the textile sector.

HOW DO YOU JOIN THE MVO NEDERLAND TEXTILE NETWORK?

Although a large number of projects have already been initiated, the Textile Network is officially still being formed. The actual launch date will be in 2020, but you can already start developing ideas on the precise implementation. Contact us and let us know if you wish to participate, and we will get straight back to you.
