Corporate social involvement includes all activities with which your company wants to make a contribution to the local society without profit motive.
More and more Dutch companies are discovering that working on social projects serves not only as a stimulus for employees: it also improves their reputation and their market opportunities.
Is corporate social responsibility the same as corporate social involvement?
No, but they inseparably linked together. If you become involved in social matters such as youth welfare work, integration, overweight, dropping out of school or impoverishment, the next step is to take responsibility and look at how your company can contribute to a solution. And the other way round corporate social responsibility is only credible if management and employees also actually feel involved in the social activities of the company.
